La Transparence fresco |
This 120-square-metre fresco tells the history and cultural life of the Chutes-de-la-Chaudière-Est borough. The lumber trade, reading, railroads, creative writing, American Indian presence, sculptures and Québec bridge are a few of the themes represented on the fresco. A place of honour is reserved for Lauréat Vallière, a prolific sculptor from the last century. Designed and created by Murale Création, the fresco was inaugurated in the fall of 2002. Under the initiative of the Commission de la Capitale Nationale du Québec, the goal of these creations, one per borough, is to create a cultural and memorial itinerary.
