Fort-de-la-Martinière |
Fort built at the start of the 20th century and its mission was to oversee the maritime activities on the St. Lawrence and to protect Québec's port and the naval shipyard in Lauzon during the two world wars. During the First World War, the fort was occupied by 292 Artillery soldiers and by 144 artillerymen during the Second World War. The fort was closed down in 1943. In the early 2000s, it was redeveloped into a museum and exhibit gallery.
