«On the path of Lévis's churches» heritage itinerary |
Come discover the extensive religious heritage of two century-old churches: Saint-Joseph, Notre-Dame and the former Congregational chapel, all located within a three-kilometre radius from one another. A guided tour will enable visitors to marvel at the valuable treasures, magnificent stained glass, sculptures by Jobin and Bourgault, silver and gold works of art, a collection of liturgical vestments - and last, but not least, the impressive organs, among which is the famous recently restored Mitchell. In addition, listen to the amazing story behind the bells. These three neo-classical churches are all in the architectural style of Thomas Baillargé.
